Hello once again fellow NOST. It’s been a fairly busy 3 months for chess. Again, If I’ve omitted any of your results, please let me know, and I’ll update them for the next issue.

I also don’t have any crosstables to present of finished sections, because most of them have a game or 2 still unreported. I am listing recent challenge match winners and winners of a few Bishop sections.

Also, I’m going to hold a "Silent John Memorial, Memorial" tournament to honor the now defunct "Silent John Memorial.," which was named so because of the "Silent Johns" of old who never conversed on their postcards.

There will be 2 separate sections, 1 for email players, and one for postcard players. The email will be done in a Swiss format, so there will be only one game going at a time for each player. The postcard section will be a round robin and the size will depend on the number of entrees I receive. Please let me know if you want to play and I’ll assign later this year or early next.

Stephen Tomporowski has won the 2000 Annual Championship. Congratulations Stephen! We’ll take a look at one of his games from the AC in the next issue.

Today’s game is another in my series on endgames in the King’s Gambit. It was played in IECC and is a nominee for a best game prize there.
